Christmas...Unfortunately in July

How can I begin to describe my discomfort in writing about Christmas in July? Every year it's the same. In the summer, I wish it to be Christmas. After Christmas, I want it be summer. It's an infinite, vicious cycle. But I know my fellow Christmateers (lovers of Christmas, or you could call us Philechristmas in Greek) cannot help but think of the endless Christmas projects for the summer. Christmas is, afterall, the best time of year. It reminds us our childhood that we've lost so long ago and cling to with all of hearts. I have made up my Christmas to-do list, which means making more washi tape so that I can make cards, make ornaments, make party elements for my ever-popular CHRISTMAS PARTY. Why do you do for Christmas? Do you sit around the fireplace, drinking warm cups of hot chocolate, listening to Nat King Cole Christmas carols? Or do you go with simpler traditions such as watching the Yule log on tv while your Grandpa tells stories of your ancestor Jacob [ya-kub]? Or better yet, do you go around singing heart-warming Christmas carols with your Girl Scout daughter in order to raise canned food for some people in need?
